Can you show us where this is even the teaching of the Catholic church?
I can only speak for the articles I post. When I post an article that is Scripturally based on regeneration, justification, sanctification and glorification I get a hail storm of responses about Luther. I am not Lutheran nor was the article about Luther. The article was based on John chapter 3 and various chapters in Paul's epistle to the Romans. So why did a few Catholics decide to post off subject Luther and the Jewish holocaust links?
Then when other posters answer the Luther comments with the history of Roman Catholic Jewish persecution and genocide, Roman Catholics play the victim that Prots are trashing the OTC.
So please save the "Catholics are only defending their church." It goes well beyond this.
You go, girl.....
Will you quit your whining every time you see something that offends you or that you don’t like?
You’re constantly running to the RM about someone else’s behavior, demanding that something be done about it.
Control freak much?
Get over it.
I’ll be praying for you. Let me know what happens.
Than can happen. Not only, but when i described the manner of one such postings without identifying the person (or any) then i was charged with slander and backbiting by the one who found the shoe fit them, thus outing himself/herself!
“I have had kidney stones. The pain is up there with childbirth. : (
Elsie wouldn’t know, he’s a guy. lol
All you have to do is press the abuse button and you can get the issue resolved. An exhibition of bitterness, and quite untrue.Nope, nasty, vicious blood libels against the Catholic faith are allowed. Even encouraged.
Speaking of "blood libel" it was a Catholic Priest that posted the following, paraphrased:
Protestants give birth to babies at Christmas time so that they can eat them.It took him a while, but he backpedaled on that with a feeble excuse.
Smokin' Joe: the open threads on the RF are not for the thin skinned. (re: 133)
Also for you:
Moderation...is so one-sided.
Both Catholics and non Catholics have that complaint.
Makes sense, RF moderation is so unbiased and fair that it causes some to go ballistic for their belief system...and against other belief systems.
Absolutely!
Because we have seen this and much worse posted by Catholics on the Religion Forum on a pretty regular basis and seem to deal with it pretty well. We aren't calling for a mutiny of Free Republic, the abolishment of the Religion Forum or criticizing and calling into question the motives and effectiveness of the Religion Moderators.
Why would you level such a false accusations at me?
Like I said, I avoid the Religion Forum, but I think the Religion Moderator does a great job, (in a totally thankless and extremely difficult job) but the definition of "don't make it personal" puzzles me, because vicious slams against one's religion is certainly personal, in that there's no other way of followers taking it, other than personal!
Have a wonderful day and thank you very much for your support of FR.
It's your church that schmoozes up to islam.
YOUR pope kissing the koran. Fits right in with YOUR Catechism of the Catholic church.

841 The Church's relationship with the Muslims. "The plan of salvation also includes those who acknowledge the Creator, in the first place amongst whom are the Muslims; these profess to hold the faith of Abraham, and together with us they adore the one, merciful God, mankind's judge on the last day."330
They shoot themselves in the foot all the time, don’t they?
Except for all those threads posted that tell about some Prot *crossing the Tiber*.
And then posting pieces about how non-Catholic doctrine is wrong.
A brief perusal of the RF threads who otherwise.
