Rep. Renee Ellmers (R-NC) and Majority Whip Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) are both married to others. Ellmers has one son and McCarthy has a son and a daughter. They both tout themselves on the Internet as having family values.
Both are hypocrites and neither are fit for leadership positions.
Ellmers met her husband Brent Ellmers, a surgeon, while working at Beaumont Hospital. After the birth of their son Ben, the family moved to Dunn, North Carolina, where Ellmers and her husband ran a practice.[5]
Ellmers, a Roman Catholic,[35] is a "family values" Republican with Christian values. She has said "As a mom, Christian and nurse, my beliefs have deepened through experience... I am pro-family."[36]
