In Shanghai, you take your life in your hands crossing a street even at a marked crosswalk. You get the same consideration as a leaf in the road. I walk with a cane, which should have indicated some caution. One came so close I swung my cane at the car taking out a headlight. Instead of an international incident...the car never slowed and just drive on by. This isn’t a psychopath in a car, it is Chinaman driving a car!
It's probably harder to bribe the judge when a Westerner is killed.
