Another fact that the left ignores is that the majority of the souths Governors and State houses through the late 1960s were DEMOCRATS. They were directly responsible for maintaining the institutions of slavery and Jim Crow. And it was Republicans who broke the DEMOCRAT filibuster against the Civil Rights Act of 1964.
Great point and a fact which will never be taught to kids today or the NAACP would mention.
Why republicans do not mention this is beyond me. They should get out there and tell blacks and the hateful left who was on for civil rights.
The radical republicans were the party of Lincoln; the very same Lincoln that invaded CSA.
