Former Secretary of Labor Robert Reich says that a dark cloud of illegitimacy hangs over the pending presidency of Donald Trump, and that the only remedy is for Trump to release his tax returns and for the CIA to release its findings about alleged Russian interference in the U.S. election to help Trump win.
This information must be released, Reich said, before the Electoral College casts its ballots next week.
The CIA has found credible evidence that Russia intervened in the election in order to help Trump become president, Reich wrote in a Facebook post over the weekend ― referring to a recent CIA assessment, reported by The Washington Post, that Russia interfered in the U.S. election not merely to disrupt the American democratic system, but specifically to help Trump win the presidency.
The former secretary, who served in the cabinet of President Bill Clinton, went on to outline several other disturbing questions that continue to plague the president-elect....

Rather than vague and unsubstantiated accusations against the Russians aiding Trump, would direct cash payment to Hillary’s “charitable” foundation for the sale of a significant amount of our country’s uranium cast a dark mushroom cloud of illegitimacy over Hillary’s administration?
There is no option, but to utterly destroy the Left. They will tell any lie, destroy any reputation, enslave us all, just to gain power. They must figuratively be ground into fine dust, and incinerated.
reich...yet another LIB loser. This pint-sized bum is a lunatic who is parasitic off taxpayers’ money as a prof at UC. The most disgusting thing is that this mental midget mainly gets paid for bloviating his mentally deranged ideas. Universities are virtual sanctuaries for these malignancies on society.
Reich has no line of work other than leftist troublemaker. Asking us to ignore him would be like asking an oncologist to ignore a particularly malignant tumor just because it was small.
Is he still around?
Good reply. Additionally, let us assume for one moment that agents of the Russian government did attempt to sway the election in Trump’s favor by stealing and delivering some emails to Wikileaks - an assertion that Wikileaks denies. Is that a problem which requires a remedy? If so, what is that remedy? I frankly don’t see a problem. American voters are subject to a multitude of influences during the course of a campaign. In fact, that is what any number of people attempt to do. But, if it is a problem, what should the remedy be? A new election? When would we stop? When would we know that any given election had been sufficiently free of “influences?” Should the College of Electors be informed as to the nature and source of each such influence? If the answer to that question is yes, who should determine which influences are disclosed to them, how the influences are described and to whom they should be ascribed? However, if the answer to that question is that there should be some sort of disclosure to the Electors by someone of some number of influences on the campaign, what should the Electors do with that information? Exercise independent judgment, in many cases in contravention of State law? It seems to me that many of the folks that now seem to want the Electors to consider an assertion by an unnamed “senior administration official” that the CIA has concluded that persons associated with the Russian government tried to sway the election in Trump’s favor by releasing some but not all of the emails they allegedly stole are the same folks who are condemning the whole concept of the Electoral College as undemocratic. When considered in this light, one must conclude that this whole issue is just and exercise in partisanship on the part of the Democrats and the media. It’s goal must be either to cause the Electors to be faithless - in which case it will fail - or to cast a cloud over the Trump Presidency ala Bush 2000. They will attempt to make it the equivalent of the “he was selected not elected” theme. In fact, that is what it is just with “the Russians” substituted for the Supreme Court.
Robert Reich is that really short guy that worked for President Clinton.
______
He wasn’t the dad on the Brady Bunch? Lol
Cool story, Bob.
That seems like a bigger issue than any effect some foreign entity could have had.
The group of people best suited to weigh all the evidence, statements, advertisements, newspaper articles, etc. already did so on Nov. 8th. Each member of that group had their own opinion of what information was true and relevant, regardless of how they came to have the information they did.
Actually in my freshman year of college I had a dwarf friend who was also my lab partner. I went to his dorm room early one night so we could work on a report. Caught him coming out of the shower. He had the most ginormous schwizzelstick I have ever seen.
“Asking us to ignore him would be like asking an oncologist to ignore a particularly malignant tumor just because it was small”.
No! Cancer is an absurd metaphore for bad journalism. They are practically opposites with regard to their response to attention! Bad journalism feeds off attention. Cancer thrives when unattended.
I stand by my position that the liberal media must be ignored - deprived of the attention that is its life’s blood.
A better metaphore for bad journalism is a five year old who is obsessed with potty humor. Several of my children and grandchildren went through such a phase when they discovered it was a great way to get attention.
Don’t laugh, don’t scold - ignore the attention-seeking behavior and it will go away. React to it and it will get worse.
It’s called extinction therapy.
I have a yardstick taller than Robert Reich.
stubby Reich, right? Reich!! another “instructor” who said he was a “Professor”.... (obamaumao was the other one, both liars of low stature).
.
A dark cloud of illegitimacy has hung over Obama for 8 years and it didn’t seem to bother the MSM.
.
We have had a dark cloud of illegitimacy hanging over us for near eight years.

Maybe George StepInAwfulStuff?

Well, Ol’ Half-pint promoted it.
At least the Democrats sure HOPE their week of non-stop lies about Russians trying to influence the election will create that ‘doubt’. I’m still waiting to see some evidence of it; all we’ve had this week is ‘unnamed intelligence sources’ spout that nonsense.
About the recounts. Wasn’t the putative objective of Jill Stien’s recounts to find out if there was any hacking of the election??
If Illary had used official government servers instead of her own, nothing would have been ‘hacked’.
