We share a strength of mind and spirit that defies centuries of efforts to break us.
So, I know: We are resilient.
But today, I am angry and troubled and, I am wanting to lash out.
• I am angry at a government that allows my people to be hunted and killed by rabid police officers.
• I am troubled by the structure that allows two white men who killed prison guards to live, but deems it justifiable to kill a black child playing with a toy gun.
• I lash out at a system that thinks it’s okay to let guilty officers go free because they speak the five magic, get out of jail free words: “I feared for my life.”
I am Trayvon Martin wondering why this strange man is following me.
I am Eric Garner gasping for air.
I am Sandra Bland proclaiming my rights.
I am Philando Castile sitting in the car with my 4 year-old daughter.

We are the descendants of those who endured the middle passage, despite being caged like animals and treated in the most inhumane of ways by the most evil of people.
So, I know: We are survivors.
But today, I am incensed and agitated and, I am yearning to fight.
• I am incensed by the sadistic notion that our brown skin makes us less deserving and less vital, and less human even, than one with white skin.
• I am agitated by the pattern of contradictions in denying responsibility for killing, but subsequently offering monetary settlements to the families of those killed.
• I fight against a justice system which deems it acceptable to bring Burger King to a white man after he has killed nine black people in a church.....

Big deal, she has a doctorate. She went to Nova Southeastern University where for $1,000 a credit you can ‘earn’ your degree via your computer.
I wonder if she has paid all her student loans? or maybe she got scholarships.

Yeah because the terrorism, tribal warfare, poverty, famine or famine-like conditions, and cannibalism back across the water are so much more desirable.
Come on, fool; those "two white me who killed prison guards" were run down and captured by white, gun toting, good ole boys and are very likely to get the death penalty. That "black child" was threatening the officer with what looked like a real gun and suffered the natural consequences. BTW, how many of the BLM cop killers have been run down and captured by the black community??
When 12.7% of the population commit most of the crime they tend together looked at a little harder. It is what it is.
Make it cash in a carry on bag. I can just imagine customs at the other end. They would be “home”, but still poor as the corrupt African customs confiscated all cash. Nice reward. lol

Yep, sad but true. Money and the 6 o’clock news drives these people, they prefer it to working for a living.
And yet we get heckled when we say that a Ph.D. ain’t what it used to be.
Yep, I heard that. I had an incident last Christmas at a shopping mall (first time I’d been to one in years) where a guy (skinny white guy with a Pac-Man shirt) was following me, my wife, and daughter. She was behind me and every time I would turn my head to talk to wifey, the guy would suddenly turn and pretend to be looking at whatever shop window was right there. I didn’t find it real likely that this guy was shopping for ladies dresses and hats.
At one point, he was looking at a sign on a blank wall like it was the most interesting thing in the world. When I would give my wife a half-turn, I could feel the guy’s look, he was giving me a ton of eye-contact. Next shop we came up on, I pulled my wife and daughter inside and told her to hang next to the cashier and be ready to call 911. She wasn’t aware of anything going on. I told her a guy was following us and I’m going back out into the hall to confront him.
When I turned to go back out, I saw him watching us through the shop window. I had my tactical pen in my hand so that it was hidden behind my forearm and leg. I can’t pull a gun on a guy in such a public place who’s merely acting sketchy. Going this close-in, I wanted something actually in my hand. So I walk up to him and said all friendly-like with my outside-voice, “You look like somebody who knows the mall, can you tell me where Waldenbooks is?” He jumped, visibly rattled, mumbled “Uh, no, sorry...” and walked away. Biggest clue that he was up to no good: he jogged away double-time in the OPPOSITE direction that he was coming from.
Attitude and showing no fear worked but you can’t always count on things going that well.
