So I guess “cracker” is out of the question.
Are there chocolate crackers?
Since we crackers never got our own hyphenated American moniker, we should go with Racist-American.
And remember, diversity is our strength. Don't hate on my community.
I asked a shipmate where the word honky came from. He said that blacks are used to hearing other blacks talk, with lower pitched voices and more slowly than whites. So, to them, whites sound high pitched and rapid. Like a goose honking. Now that I think about it, that doesn’t make a lost of sense, but it worked at the time.
“Honky” offends me; “cracker” is kind of another term for “redneck,” and it does not offend me to the same degree.
You’d best not call me a “racist!” Or a “honky!”
Those are fighting words.
