Pelosi is playing both sides of her side of the fence in a lose-lose situation. She knows that impeachment works both ways, since all of the evidence will become part of the public record. The Democrats can not hide behind FISA court abuse, the FBI and DOJ ignoring their own policies, and ignoring established rules of evidence and legal procedure.

At the same time, they made their deal with the devil to cover for Hillary's pay-for-play and complete disregard of national security by looking the other way and trying to frame Trump to cover for it. For the last three years, all the Democrats have had to offer is getting rid of Trump. If they come up empty, or have the facts come out publically so hard the news can't cover it up for them, they lose big.
