I don't think you understand that a pro-immigration position is not necessarily liberal. Instead, it's awkwardly between the parties. Don't you think the Democratic union thugs would be delighted if we managed to close our borders?

My positions pretty much mirror the Wall Street Journal editorial page, and I don't think anyone's going to call that publication a leftist rag.

The problems of the LA Unified School District are mainly due to exceptionally poor management, incompetent people and a highly centralized administration that sucks up money like candy. I seem to remember figures to the tune of only 30% of the LAUSD budget reaches the classroom. No wonder Catholic schools do so much better with so little!

The solution to the LAUSD's money problems is clearly to split it up into smaller, more responsive and cheaper to run districts. If we could get 60% of the budget into the classroom, that would make the illegal alien problem insignificant. I'd like to see more like 90%, but I know that's probably a pipe dream at this point.

Don't fall for arguments trying to scapegoat illegals unless illegals, and not corrupt and incompetent government officials, are clearly the problem.

Please identify the last successful government program. It must be something before I was born. Perhaps the dissolution of the LEAGUE OF NATIONS

I am not asking for any government assistance in this area. I am asking for you to tell us what we can do without the government to solve this problem. I see the correction coming from a citizen declared policy program in your local community.

maybe I'm being a little sarcastic but not very. We should give plenty of fair warning before we start shooting. The flood will cease as soon as the invaders reaize that we are serious. We may have to shoot a few to make that point.

The only ones that would be willing to try once we send the message that we're gong to start defending our border with force are that ones that are getting the most gain for trying - the drug runners.

Average Mexicans will then start imegrating legaly. We could pick and choose who we let in then and know who they are. I'm not against migrent workers coming to America for a season or two every year to work on the fields or against anyone with a decent education that can contribute instead of be a drain on our economy.

As it is now , millions of invaders are a drain on our social services and don't help our economy as much as they hurt it.

I couldn't do it full time without getting paid but I'd take a few weeks off to help clean up while the invaders are getting the message that we are serious about defending our border.

What is troublesome is what exactly he is onboard with ? It has become imperative that we take Iraq and occupy it like we did Germany and Japan. We must occupy until we are certain that a pro-American government replaces the current one.

We need to rebuild the oil producing infrastructure and break the back of OPEC by flooding the market with cheap oil. That would pay for the war with economic gain even if we don't keep a portion of the oil proceeds to pay for the war and occupation like we should.

What we need is a grass root movement. Not just the people here on FR. Do you really think that we are the only ones that are sick of this? All of the Democrats that I know feel the same way.

Quite a few folks from other parties read FR every day. Lets get the idea from the Republicans and show the democrats how it's done.

I like the billboard idea. It's a shame we need to embarass our leaders into a plan of action.

I, for one, know we are at war, but the better agencies to deal with al-Qaeda are the CIA and DOD.

The CIA and DOD are forbidden to work inside the US of A. I'll bet you dinner that we have illegal alien terrorists in their training camps right here in the US. The INS has been letting them in for a decade or so.

I have stopped writing or calling to any of them. All they do is give you lip service. What we have to do is make everything they do public. Put it in the papers on billboards and call into radio talk shows about this problem until someone deals with it.

Each state should start their own fund for the expenses and as the word gets out it will grow. "Build it and they will come." LOL
