Madikeri, Jan. 20 (KBM&-MRS)- It could be dubbed as a 'remote controlled miracle'. A paralytic patient, who was to be cured at the Benny Hinn congregation to be held in Bangalore from Jan. 21 was cured of his disease almost three days earlier at a far away village even before meeting the evangelist.

The media persons were in for a surprise when they saw a paralytic patient just stood up and walked up to them in the house of Bharathi in Virupakshapura, JP Colony, on Tuesday night.

Kuria Kose, aged about 70, was brought by his wife and daughter from Tarikere on Tuesday morning to Bharathi's house on their way to Bangalore for the Hinn congregation.

Kuria Kose, who was claimed to have suffered stroke in his right hand and right leg, was sitting in a chair watching the media per- sons' conversation with Bharathi.

As the media persons were coming out, Kuria Kose, all of a sudden got up from his chair, walked up to them and shook hands with them to bid farewell.

In fact, Bharathi had earlier told media persons that the oldman could not walk because of the stroke. He was being taken to Bangalore to be cured by Benny Hinn

The article protrays the stroke as a disease? Is that the proper medical diagnosis of strokes?

someone should follow some of these other healers around to record how often the same person is healed.

James Randi is a national treasure who has proven time and again how these charlatans work.

They use radio earpieces, shills and actors, and computer databases of their donors and atttendees; in fact every trick of modern science and ancient humbuggery they can muster to the goal of separating the gullible faithful from their dollars.

I think they are among the most evil people in the world, stealing money from the sick and elderly by preying on their religious faith. There's a special fire in Hell for the likes of Benny Hinn.

MLAs’ aides gherao Poojary

BANGALORE, DHNS:

The much-delayed cabinet expansion on Wednesday triggered protests by supporters of two Congress legislators who were left out of the ministry, in front of the KPCC office.

Angry supporters of former minister G Parameshwara and Maddur MLA D C Thammanna thronged the KPCC office soon after the swearing-in ceremony of new ministers. They shouted slogans against Chief Minister N Dharam Singh, the Janata Dal (S) and its supremo H D Deve Gowda.

The protesters took KPCC president B Janardhan Poojary to task for not accommodating Mr Parameshwara and Mr Thammanna in the ministry, as also for not providing representation to Tumkur and Mandya districts in the ministry.

Their grouse was that by not providing representation from these ‘politically sensitive’ districts in the ministry, it would mean that the district in-charge minister would also be from the JD (S). They alleged that this would give the JD (S) an upper hand while taking up development works in the district and claimed that it the JD (S) would use these works to its benefit during the next elections to the assembly or panchayats.

The protesters called Mr Singh “weak chief minister” who yielded to pressure from the JD (S). Meanwhile, Mr Poojary gave them a patient hearing to the protesters and assured them of taking up the case with the party high command, so that the two MLAs could be considered while filling up the final two ministerial vacancies.

However, Mr Poojary told them that he did not have a say in the ministry expansion issue. He added, “We have included people like Mr Shivaram in the Cabinet to ensure that our party is not sidelined in districts like Hassan where the JD (S) has a strong presence.”

[India News]: Jaipur, Jan 7 : Hundreds of protestors today held a massive 'gherao-cum-demonstration' at the Collectorate in Jhunjhunu district demanding abolition of toll tax on the highway linking Rajasthan with Haryana via Chirawa, a senior police official said.

Now I understand. Since gheraoing means to surround a person or group as a form of demonstration, this would essentially be a circle jerk.
