I was thinking the same thing. They lash out at "heartless, right wingers who have no compassion". Go look at their comments regarding Laura Ingraham and her fight with breast cancer. Overall, they are caring and compassionate. But the rantings of some (who haven't since been deleted) are pretty vicious. Even some of the DU'ers themselves were disgusted by it.

One that really stuck out for me was from Marnieworld and should have been deleted immediately, but wasn't; it states:
"She's another Ann Coulter. David Brock wrote much about Ingrahm in "Blinded by the Right." She is part of everything evil in the GOP since the revolution in the late 80s. F*** Laura Ingrahm. F*** her."
While I do not deny that their are mean and nasty Freepers and that this may have been a troll (I should have done a screen capture) I have never read anything like that at FR that wasn't immediately deleted.
That's nothing. DUmmie mopaul posted a thread on the day Pres. Reagan died celebrating that fact. It was locked the next day, but it's still up.
