When did he become a citizen of Israel? I believe he was a civilian forward spotter during the Six Day War.

Actually, Dr. Jones was born in Texas. He studied to become a Baptist minister and then left the Baptist church to sutdy under a Rabbi on the East Coast. His bio (http://www.vendyljones.org.il/vendyl.htm) covers a lot of studies and teaching in the US, with digs in Isreal, but nothing about changing citizenship or military service.
