I'm not a car guy, so I don't know how much of this is true, but if it is, I'm not going to be considering a Honda for my next car purchase.

No offense, but you signed up a day or so ago to post this poorly written (much less thought out) POS? I know about Lesburus, but Honda is just a well made car. I don't like them, but they are reliable and well made.

This hit piece reminds me of the attack on Proctor & Gamble in the 80's(?), where they were supposedely a satanist company. I don't think I believe this, but I wouldn't buy a Honda anyway.

First of all this is either a parody, or a Honda hit piece. For me, in either case it is also humorous.

I have owned three Honday in my life and all were wrecked after finally selling them by someone else, after at least a dozen years of use.
The only reason I do not now own a Honda, is because for the same quality car, Toyotas have been somewhat less for the last 15 years or so.

LOL - sounds like an April Fools joke type of article "In 1962, Honda started producing the HX100, their first entry into the area of gas powered lawn mowers. This allowed residents to show off their sexual preference to neighbors when not commuting." yeah, we know how suburban lawn-mowing gays are sweepin' the nation (not).

and the social implications of 'crossover' vehicles for GLBTs??? LOL.

PS. Not only is this article is a very bad parody and-or whck-job rant, the article-writer blogger of it is an idiot.

To wit, this verbal nonsense in his other article on Toyota: " The Carter Administration issued a mandatory procedural change in early 1971 requiring all coastal ports to reject color-coded oil barrels from Iran, causing the price of gasoline to skyrocket to an inflation-adjusted figure of $13.73/gallon. Lines at the gas pumps were often miles long, and with vehicles getting about 9 miles per gallon on average, this caused quite a stress on the American buyer’s mind."

I count no less than 8 historical errors in this brief paragraph alone. Carter in 1971? Uh no. He mixes up who was embargoeing whom, the timelines, the prices paid, the mechanisms used etc. In short, an ignoramus.

The idiocies continue on with him saying bad stuff about Pruis like "Because the vehicles do not have a transmission, the electric motors can propel the vehicles down the road at tremendous rates of speed without warning. Emergency workers were trained not to touch Priuses" ... and his Toyota article was responded to with:

"This is the most inaccurate piece of drivel I have ever read and I will be sure not to read this blog again."

IMHO, he's a whackjob.
