We're in north, central NC, and I "think" the closest one is either up in VA, or over in Charlotte. We miss it from when we lived in Britain. :-)
thanks for the heads-up on the "Danish Flag" flower/plant...
I've got to track down a source on that!
OH...well then...we'll just stick to Carlsberg and Tuborg lagers, as well as Havarti cheese! :-)
Those nut-job mooslims do indeed miss a great blessing by forbidding a good cold one once in awhile. :-)
You and your budz need to close the garage door when you get noisy, so the SOs don't complain. Hooooo-ahhhhh!!!!! Call the cops, I don't give a rat's ..........
Live large. Dead is forever.;>)

Notwithstanding's post:
Danish Havarti cheese
Carlsberg and Tuborg Beers.
Arla owns White Clover Dairy, a Wisconsin company so buy that brand. It comes under White Clover and Holland Farm.
Danish Crown hams ( DAK (sold at Sam clubs)... baby back ribs, because they come from Denmark.
You shop online at The Danish Foodshop and Danish Deli Foods.
You can also buy gorgious Danish porcelain and LEGO for the kids.
NO kidding?! Wow....yeah! Go Denmark GO! :-)
I'll TRY to get the time in the next week to put a comprehensive list of products that we can purchase either from the U.S., or via mail order (or e-commerce) and put it on that site instead of the simple meta-redirect that's on there now. :-)
Support the courageous Danes, if you will.
Legos.
I'll do some work on this tomorrow and get you some pics.
I love this spirit:
"We've vowed in my house to buy ONE Danish product per week. This evening it was Havarti Dill cheese...mmmmmm! I'm scrounging for some Carlsberg lager next week though!"
Also, a gourmet basket of assorted Danish cheeses makes a wonderful gift. So does a tin of Danish Butter Cookies. Havarti Dill is heavenly, just heavenly!
Hummm...Danish Freedom of Speech Gourmet Baskets...
can sombody list danish imports to the US
I'll buy Carlsburg, even though I'm not fond of weak, sissy beer, and Havarti cheese, which my budz don't know from Monterey Jack (unless it includes dill-weed). I support the Danes. And their beautiful Queen Margereth (sp) who has great big clanking brass ones.
Maybe Jack Daniels could open an aging facility over there, or something. Making kegs... something...

Every year in April we visit Solvang, California, for a few days. It's a small Danish community that has the look and feel of Denmark, settled by immigrants in the early 20th century. They have delicious authentic danish treats and the restaurant food is wonderful. Lots of imported Danish stuff, too. Google Solvang and get information for a trip there. It's located near Santa Barbara.
I'm a Dan Cake junkie. I especially like their rum balls, and chocolate rolls...Plus, they are not overpriced.
