Smiler experience, had to have somebody co-sign for my first car loan, in blood, then it took me 15 years to be able to afford a down payment for a house, all the time worrying about missing a payment on a student loan that would have ruined my credit, then when I met my spouse who had been born in Canada by American citizens abroad , who had voted and attend grade school in the US for a lifetime, and had a drivers licenses; we had trouble opening a new bank account since my spouse could not proved proof of US citizenship, and took us 3 years to resolve.

Then 6 months ago a family from Mexico buys a House in our neighborhood, they were handed a loan on a sliver plater, they are diving new cars with loans from Bank of America who has announced they can open a bank account no problem, and their kids dont have to worry about student loans since they are receiving instate tuition and scholarships to cover the costs.

The moral of the story, ... well there is none...
