In Europe, people who've never experienced close contact with Americans seem to think the average American is a TV-addicted, brainwashed moron, while other, most often more well educated and professionally successful Europeans who've been to the US and have met with many Americans, tend to have very high regards of the New World Citizens.
The former category of Europeans would propably claim the most stupid US Americans are the ones who stand up for ideas like Liberty, Patriotism and Freedom, while I would say a great deal of well educated, life experienced people in Europe are growing more and more tired of European PC culture and in many ways nuture an admiration of the true American spirit.
Don't get me wrong in neither way. Very few Europeans hate the US. On the other hand, few Europeans wish the EU and Europe in general to copy American culture.
Whatever the opinions of uneducated Americans and their fellow uneducated Europeans on eachother's continents are, their standpoints pose no real threat to the progress of Mankind. However, their lack of education do.
I would venture to guess that most "educated, life experienced Europeans" are trying to figure out a way to move here, unless they are plugged into the system there in a profitable way.
