The only question remains is, how will the “lazy” and “looks like hell” talking points be sold here tomorrow?

Only time will tell.

This article does nothing but attack the man for no purpose than elevate another candidate. Sounds like the Democrat modus operandi of all ages, past and present.

That's also why this garbage was posted here.

This guy is a member of Hunter's team, and identifies himself as much. Everything he does, therefore, is a reflection upon Hunter's campaign.

I don't think it really reflects poorly on him. In fact, I'm glad Mr. Hawkins (and Dick Morris, for that matter) brought this up, since I think it's worth talking about what kind of nominee and what kind of President we want.

Do we want a politician who's mostly interested in kissing babies, raising money, and winning the Beauty Contest, or do we want someone who's going just going to tell us what he believes and what kind of President he's going to be, and let the voters decide? Do we want a man who polls incessantly so he can match his platform to the "public will", or do we want a man who will govern by his own principles and conscience? Do we want someone who thinks the President "runs the country", or someone who knows what the President's Constitutional role is? Do we want a follower, or a leader? Are we a democracy, or a republic?

So ask away, Mr. Hawkins. My answer's right below.

You know...I used to watch my mother walk through her life. She did everything at a measured, slow pace. I, on the other hand, ran around “frenetic”....tackling 16 things at once, hollering and shouting and “passionate” about everything.

My mother accomplished a shocking amount at her slow, leisurely pace...while I only appeared to:)

Work ethic to be President!? What the hell!?

I'm not a liberal who wants or expects 'my' president to 'work harder than he has ever worked' to perfect my life and everything in it.

I expect a president to leave me alone and uphold the Constitution--which leaves a helluva lot of time for golf and cocktail parties!

I want a president who works less coming up with BS to tax me to pay for.

Is this the kind of BS we can expect from Hunter's 'campaign'? Who are they trying to appeal to?

" looks for efficient ways to do the same amount work that other folks do with twice the effort. "

That's the way any job or work should be, why waste extra effort if you can do in differently in a more efficient way ?

" Reagan took naps. "
" So what? "
Your right, so what is he napped, He's the boss.
It's probability better that he did take naps instead of him being dog tired and make mistakes from being a hothead because of being tired.

(sung to the tune of “For What It’s Worth”
as performed by the Buffalo Springfield)

There’s something happening here
What it is ain’t exactly clear
There’s a man dissin’ Fred over there
Telling me I got to beware
I think it’s time we stop, Fredheads, what’s that sound
Everybody look what’s going down

There’s battle lines being drawn
Thompson’s right, and the leftists are wrong
Fred is out there speaking his mind
Getting so much resistance from behind
I think it’s time we stop, hey, what’s that sound
Everybody look what’s going down

What a field-day for the bots
All they do is diss Fred a lot
Sayin’ he’s lazy, and then this and then that
Close your eyes and you’ll hear a Democrat
It’s time we stop, hey, what’s that sound
Everybody look what’s going down

Fredophobia strikes deep
Into your thread it will creep
It starts when the bots are afraid
that Fred will run and blow Rudy McRomney away

We better stop, hey, what’s that sound
Everybody look what’s going down
Stop, hey, what’s that sound
Everybody look what’s going down
Stop, now, what’s that sound
Everybody look what’s going down
Stop, Fredheads, what’s that sound
Everybody look what’s going down

Sturm - great link!

Did you read this little doozie on that same page?

“Additionally, while I am working on the campaign, I’m not planning to blog about any of the 2008 Republican contenders on RWN unless a story too big to ignore hits the wires. That’s because I don’t want to come across like a shill for Duncan if I eviscerate one of his opponents or talk him up.”

Dear Mr. Hawkins,

I give you credit for admitting you work for the Hunter campaign. However, you get an F for contradicting yourself and writing a hit piece on Thompson. As you predicted in your failed promise, you’re coming across as a shill for Hunter. Hunter should fire your butt immediately. He has no chance at the nomination, but could possibly get asked to be Thompson’s veep. Your screed does not help Hunter AT ALL.

I love your tag line, I was thinking a few weeks ago that Franks would be perfect for VP.

They also said Reagan was lazy.

And Eisenhower. It's Point Two on the Democrap template for assessing Republican presidents.

The first one is Racist/Nazi.

I used to like John Bolton for VP, but Tommy Franks fits the XO role better, and helps balance against Fred's lack of admin and military experience. I like Bolton for SecState.

Also I think Franks is a lot like Fred, in regards that they both wouldn’t really want the job, but would take it for histories sake.

Those mentioned were not living in these perilous times.
The Presidency now has to be taken very seriously, to much at stake like threats of nuclear wars and possible annihilation of the human race. I definitely want my president to take the job seriously and have the stamina to be able to work.

The early days of the republic were not “perilous times”???

Jefferson and Washington aren’t good enough for you????

I figured you for a Rudybot, but your posts are generally pro-Fred. Obviously, you completely failed to understand my post.

I still assert that who seek power the most are those who deserve it the least. For me, this is axiomatic.

And just because Washington and Jefferson did not yearn for the job does not mean they did not take it seriously. In fact, they were the two best presidents we ever had, in my opinion.

Also, do you realize who was the first American president to fight a war in the Middle East, which was won convincingly? Adams paid ransom to the Muslim thugs. When Jefferson took office, he said “millions for defense and not one cent for tribute” then kicked some major butt. Unlike you, I would welcome a president Jefferson.
