My Dad lost his life fighting in a war, my son-in-law served in the first gulf war. Our miltary are the best!

I was born into a military family, married into a career military family and have always been surrounded by and pride in and for our Troops.

When I was about 5 years old, my Father died of wounds he suffered in a war, I still clearly remember the sound of the gun salute, the sound of the shots scared me but yet I thought, my gosh my Dad must be someone very special, there were all these soldiers at his funeral and when they came to me and shook my hand I thought I must be special too....

As a Conservative I want less government.

I believe in taking care of my own first and foremost!
I believe in donating to my Church.
I do not believe in welfare, medicaid.

Those are my beliefs and I will not impose them on others. While I think we should help those in need, I feel that teaching them to be self-sufficient is more important than handouts to the "you owe me" gimmeee crowd.

There is a big difference between charitable giving and the government giving away taxpayers dollars.

The government of the United States is a definite government, confined to specified objects. It is not like state governments, whose powers are more general. Charity is no part of the legislative duty of the government --James Madison in a January 1794 speech in the House of Representatives

Recently I have become embroiled in the illegal alien controversy. I believe that our National security depends on securing our borders. There were times I struck out and posted in anger if I insulted anyone I am sorry but I feel we must first and foremost secure our border. I am against socialism and think that because the illegals are supported by liberals they have socialist leanings. However that said I also refuse to tolerate anyone using me and my strong feelings about this issue for their own agenda's!
