“To think the same dopes who call Hunter a “protectionist”...” I wouldn’t call Hunter that, but I also dont anything wrong with Thompson’s votes such as:

Trade relations helps us. Thinking that way *is* protectionist, and harms our prosperity.
Trade or no trade won’t change what China does with their other relations, eg, military sales, which we and many other countries do too btw.
Putting our manufacturing base on the shores of communist countries DOES harm our prosperity. Especially when someone like Clinton pushes “free trade” for our enemies and suddenly they have technology that they were 30 years behind us on just a few before.
