If you look at the backgrounds of the various members listed on their WHo We Are page:

LINK

It's obvious none have any background that would qualify them for document analysis. The majority are journalists.

Here's what they have to say about the 'birth announcement' :

"In fact, the conspiracy would need to be even deeper than our colleagues realized. In late July, a researcher looking to dig up dirt on Obama instead found a birth announcement that had been published in the Honolulu Advertiser on Sunday, Aug. 13, 1961:"

Obama's birth announcement

The announcement was posted by a pro-Hillary Clinton blogger who grudgingly concluded that Obama "likely" was born Aug. 4, 1961 in Honolulu.

BORN IN THE USA LINK

However, we now know that BOTH 'birth announcements' were supposedly 'discovered' and sent to both Atlas Shrugs and TexasDarlin websites by E-MAIL!

A research librarian at the Hawaii State Library just told me she will email me a copy of BOH's birth announcement. She stated someone else had asked for that info recently and still had it readily available in her folder. It appeared in the Honolulu Sunday Advertiser on Aug. 13, 1961. It said that Mr. and Mrs. BHO had a son on Aug. 4, 1961. Gives their address as 605 Kalaninole Highway. It does not give the name of a hospital were the birth occurred or the name of the son. So, to me, the question remains- Was BHO Jr. actually born on US soil? BHO needs to provide verifiable proof of the exact location (Hawaiian hospital) where he was born.

I asked her to send me a copy of the Obama's birth notice.

The TexasDarlin 'birth announcement' was supplied by 'Lori Starfelt' see:

There is no mention that anyone ever saw the original or the microfilm. For all we know, Infidel Granny and Lori might be the same person...and I'm not going to far out on a limb by suggesting I think I know who that individual works for, am I?

Here’s a comment on Atlas Shrugs from Infidel Granny, reminding Pamela just where the birth announcement came from. It was a scan, e-mailed to her.

“Pamela,
Infidel Granny here. I am the woman who sent you the birth announcement from the Honolulu Advertiser in July 2008. You gave me a hat tip on July 23, 2008.
I sure hope you don’t think I had anything to do with a forgery.
The woman I spoke to at the Advertiser suggested I contact the Hawaii State Librbary for the info. That’s where I got it from just as it states in the blog on July 23. The librarian stated another woman had asked for the same thing about one week before I did.
You might still have my email and phone number. Feel free to contact me if you like.”

I’m putting this up here now because the link to Texasdarlin where Lori Starfelt explains how she came about her material (from the same source, by e-mail) has been removed.

Maybe factcheck didn’t appreciate me drawing attention to that fact they ‘validated’ an announcement that was an electronic image of a scan received by e-mail from an anonymous poster?
