Sorry so late back - got busy at work. Yes, CWL is concealed weapon license. The P-38 actually is a small can opener, just in case I have pork and beans or ravioli for lunch. I do have a nice purse (from Coronado Leather) with a concealed compartment for my revolver (usually a SW 38 2" snubby-other times a Keltec 32 semi-auto) but I do not endorse carrying in a purse. It is too easy to have an unintended discharge (in a regular purse, not to mention lint and debris), or to have the purse snatched or, have a small child get into it. It's not worth it.

I always carry in a waist holster-strong arm side. However, extra ammo and speed loaders go in the purse. Magazines go into the rear pocket of my britches, turned just right so they can be popped in quickly. Additionally, I shoot both weapons several times a year to keep up on proficiency. I guess all and all, I don't like little purses. Heck, I'm lucky if my shoes match (each other) and my purse must be useful.

The P-38 (can opener that came in C-Rations):

We used to call them a "John Wayne."
