Has this ben discussed before reqarding this particular address being in existence in 1961??

Also, why was Ann Dunham’s Social Security Number issued from WASHINGTON in 1959/60. I thought Social Security numbers got issued from State of Birth?? I thought she was born in Kansas...

6085 Kalanianaole Hwy has been discussed at length, I put up an image from Google on several previous threads. We reached the conclusion that the address may have been used by Madelyn Dunham - she worked in Escrow at a Bank...THAT THE ADDRESS DID NOT EXIST at the time the birth announcement was supposedly placed MAY COMFIRM THE BIRTH ANNOUNCEMENT IS A FORGERY (as some of us suspected.)

The source was always a problem, supposedly, someone went to the library asking for the page for that date, and the person behind the counter replied; 'I was asked for that yesterday, I still have the copy in a folder on my desk, let me get it for you...'

IIRC the 'announcement' first appeared on the texasdarlin website.

Keep in mind, it was a Sunday publication, the actual announcement wasn't published until several days after the 'birth' -

The source is wrong! When we originally saw the birth announcement we went to google maps and placed it. One of the Freepers also went to Honolulu assessments and did a copy and paste of the information for that particular address which stated it was built in the 1940’s with improvements(Outbuildings built in later years) The house can also be found within zillow.com which also states that it was built in the 1940’s. Now if you go to google maps and try to place the home it places it way off or doesn’t display it at all. You have to trick google by entering other addresses first. From my research including “The Honolulu Advertiser”, University of Hawaii, and articles and letters written by Sr’s classmates the address listed in the birth announcement wasn’t associated with the Davis family who had lived in a home on the leeward side of Kalihi valley close to Pearl Harbor since 1956 (ref. UofH paper on Frank Marshall Davis). The Dunhams lived in “a large house on Kamahameha Ave.”, then in “a modest wooden house on University Ave. near Kamanele Park” until they moved into the 10th floor apartment at 16175 Beretania St. where Madelyn Dunham has lived for the past 40 years. (ref. various articles in “The Honolulu Advertiser) Obama Sr. initially lived at the Atherton Y.M.C.A. until he moved into a small single story house in St.Louis Heights (which we know was torn down between his departure from HI in June/62 and his visit in Dec/Jan.71 also from articles in “The Honolulu Advertiser)The house was also not owned by Sr’s friend Arnold Nachmanoff who was finishing a stint in the military and lived in military housing. (ref. letters from Sr’s friends writing to Jr about having known his father but NEVER mentioning his mother!)
On the matter of an SS number being assigned from state of birth, this is the case now but when Ann Dunham applied she was 16 and living in WA state. SS numbers were not given at birth back then like they are now. I hope this clears things up for you!

I got my SS card at my first job, in 1973. Back then, was the only time you needed it, was for a job.
