And the Birth Certificate issue is in line with what you posted. Potentially, pursuing that issue can be embarassing to the GOP (if we’re wrong) and therefore could serve as a setback to those Republicans with personal ambitions. However, the more important issue to to serve the people and to defend the Constitution, and in that spirit, Republicans are being derelict if they do not pursue the Birth Certificate issue.

What I fear is that our vaulted Supremes will make an effort to ignore the Constitution too. Then, what we have is a country without a reliable rudder.

Even if the Republicans step into this investigation and are proven wrong, all they need say is that they were doing the will of the people. They need proof and that is not asking for much.
