many of Obama’s most liberal and costly political mistakes stemmed from Jarrett’s advice.
Jarrett reportedly hatched the idea of Obama flying to Copenhagen to “make a dramatic presentation to the International Olympic Committee” for Chicago’s Olympic bid — and also encouraged Obama’s visit to “the Bay area solar company Solyndra” — despite the protestations of Lawrence Summers (who in 2009 warned against the loan guarantee) and others.
Klein implies Jarrett’s pro-Solyndra position was a result of her “Chicago connections” and —
especially her close ties to the George Kaiser Family Foundation, which controlled 35.7 percent of Solyndra. The foundation had made a sizable donation to the University of Chicago Medical Center, where Jarrett once served as chairwoman and where one of Obama’s best friends, Eric Whitaker, is currently executive vice president. Billionaire George Kaiser, one of Obama’s top 2008 campaign fundraising bundlers, visited the White House no fewer than sixteen times, and Jarrett herself met at least three times with Solyndra lobbyists, who pushed for government assistance.

Michelle Obama was paid large money for a no- show position at the University of Chicago Medical Center [ then she got a raise from about $100,000 to over $300,000 when Barack became a senator ] ?
Later Barark arranged that the taxpayers then sent a Million plus $$ to the University of Chicago Medical Center ?
Michelle is Jesse Jackson's first cousin. Jesse is the illegitimate son of Noah Robinson, Sr., who is the brother of Michelle's father, Fraser Robinson III, late of the Chicago Waterworks and who was quite politically powerful.
Jesse's legitimate half-brother is her other first cousin, Noah Robinson, Jr.. He was head of elRukn, the notorious Chicago Gang that ran the drug trade and extortion rackets, and who is now IIRC, still in prison.
Jesse and Michelle have always been very close. Jesse's daughter, Santita and Michelle have been best friends for years. Jesse is also reputed to have helped the Reverend Wright marry off Cousin Michelle to Barry! (Although there is no love lost between Barry and Jesse!)
Before her marriage, Michelle was Jesse's protegée in a number of important appointments around town. She was then picked up by Bernadine Dohrn, Bill Ayers' wife, and installed at Sidley Austin, the law firm that represented Chicago Electric, of which Bill Ayer's father was the President. Barry was also later employed at Sidley Austin. (Dohrn is an attorney and law professor, although she is not admitted to practice because of her criminal record)
