Why tax-dodgin’ Tom Daschle needs a limo and chauffeur

Suddenly, we feel bad for tax-dodgin’ Tom Daschle. Maybe we should all just cut him a little slack.

We just learned that he was such a dedicated public servant during his days in Washington, DC that he drove an old junker instead of buying a new car. Here’s one of his old campaign commercials to prove what a hard-working, stand-up guy he was is.

“Maybe he’s sentimental,” the voiceover intones, “Or just cheap. Whatever the case, isn’t it too bad that Washington doesn’t understand that a penny saved is a penny earned?”

We can all learn a lesson from Tom Daschle: Your money goes much further when you don’t pay a penny in taxes.

Watch the commercial. Laugh at it knowing that this pompous ass has finally been exposed.

I just had a thought maybe Dashcle needed a limo and chauffeur for showing Larry Sinclair types round DC or did Barack borrow it.

Why does Daschle need a limo and chauffeur?

Probably because his own feet can't reach the pedals.

I thought it was going to say because his license has been revoked for unpaid traffic tickets or multiple DWIs.

I look forward to Rush’s parody of Tommy’s tax problem. Maybe something based on those late night law firm ads that promise they can help you skate on $150,000 in back taxes...

Tom Daschle had an old car because his lobbying and pandering got him a limo and driver provided to him. That’s why he’s in the tax situation he’s in.

That’s like me saying I’m sentimental because I still have my old truck. Just don’t look at the 09 car in the yard.

Pity that scrawny MF never was as tight with our money as he was with his own...

There is no joy in this for me.
Washington insiders apparently don’t pay taxes. If the IRS were to audit all 535 members of Congress, I’d guess there’d be a lot of people in trouble, both D and R.

And Tom Daschle doesn’t really care. He’ll go back to lobbying and assisting companies with tax issues, (seriously). Daschle is wealthy, and will continue to accumulate wealth.

Me, not so much.

He didn’t care much for the environment back in those days.

He's still getting $83,000 a month of money that was originally yours before the government took it from you in the form of taxes.

And, he's still laughing at us!

The political elite wants us, the unwashed, to drive battery powered toys, while they tool around in Lincoln, Cadillac and Humvee limos.

I want to thank the smart crowd who voted these cuckoos into office.
