That’s rounds of ammunition. Seems like hardly enough for target practice. I think we should require all able bodied men to purchase and fire at least 100 rounds per month. (Self loading exemptions considered.)

OK, I guess I really need to clarify.

When I said “dangerous levels”, I wasn’t taking the Democrat line. I understand perfectly well the benefits of private ownership of guns and the right of the citizens to arm themselves.

The spurt in buying is what I termed as dangerous - because to an outsider like me, that signals a coming period of political upheavals in the USA. I am not saying that the citizens are going to go berserk and start shooting, but the fact that they expect they will be needing it is already a cause for alarm.
