As brilliant as our forefathers were, I dont think they ever anticipated a 1-party takeover of all three branches. They didn't anticipate parties at all. At least they made no provisions for them in the Constitution. They spoke derisively of them. But inevitably, they formed them. Federalist and anti-federalists, termed factions, both claiming to be Whigs.

My mistake. I intended, and did in fact, to draw the distinction between cousins. John a chose originally because I consider him to be one of the closest to modern conservatism among the founders.

The Super Grand Jury can indict until its blue in the face. What is it going to do then ?
You would know once an indictment is presented then it goes to a court of law if you bothered to thoroughly read the information at the website. I am so sick and tired of the "what's the use" or "it won't work" attitude that seems to pervade FR whether it's respect to contacting politicians by phone, email, faxes, tea parties or the Grand Jury just to name a few examples. The more appropriate question is why not steal a page from the socialist playbook by applying all methods possible to stop and reverse the march to socialism by applying all forms of pressure at the same time? Being persistent despite setback has worked great for the socialists. H!ll we're the freaking majority! We need to act like the majority! We certainly have nothing to lose and everything to gain. Not applying any of these methods is tantamount to condoning the unconstitutional usurpation that is taking place. I apologize if this sounds like a lecture. I don't intend it to come across that way but I'm simply amazed at the defeatist attitude even though we are the majority.

The handwriting that was once on the wall thousands of years ago, written by God and interpeted by Daniel...be a message to America?
Dan 5:17 Then Daniel answered and said before the king, Let thy gifts be to thyself, and give thy rewards to another; yet I will read the writing unto the king, and make known to him the interpretation.
Dan 5:24 Then was the part of the hand sent from Him; and this writing was written...
Dan 5:25 And this [is] the writing that was written, MENE, MENE, TEKEL, UPHARSIN.
Dan 5:26 This [is] the interpretation of the thing: MENE; God hath numbered thy kingdom, and finished it.
Dan 5:27 TEKEL; Thou art weighed in the balances, and art found wanting.
Dan 5:28 PERES; Thy kingdom is divided, and given to the Medes and Persians.

Im going to D.C. in September. Anyone else? I'm living through my own economic depression, but I'm going to do everything in my power to be in DC on 9/12. Every single person reading here knows that a million or more of us need to show up in DC, if we're to have any hope of stopping the fast approaching destruction of America.

Many of us WERE democrats in our youth. We were lucky enoough to be afforded the time to mature and see where that was leading.

The only real solution is a political revival (probably preceeded by a spiritual one) that will place wise, honest and courageous people in office who respect/protect freedom and adapt policies that enhance prosperity and provide security.... Calling Gov. Palin...

just by listening to music? i don’t think it’s all that hard to separate yourself from the lifestyle of the popular culture, if you have a strong moral upbringing. i wish you luck as well.

as i said, i was raised as a democrat, in my youth, as well. but my parents were knee jerk democrats with no knowledge of issues and political philosophies. my dad said that republicans were for the rich and the democrats were for the “little guy”, and he believed that til he died 8 years ago. i was 30 years old before i came to see the light and to understand the difference in the philosophies. my kids have the benefit of parents who have seen both sides and can explain, in detail, the differences. having the rationale explained is the only way for them to get it. it takes more than just saying BE A CONSERVATIVE, it’s better.

My son is also just 17 and every time I tell him something new, he rolls his eyes, and says he doesn’t care about politics, but I make him listen. We listen to newstalk radio in the car.
I was just wondering what McCarthy’s predictions were.

We have to learn to be like the founding fathers and not be quiet. We have to control some MSM. Anybody a billionaire and a capitalist?

I think we are already on the way down.
Unfortunately, you may well be correct. Just look at the non-coverage by the MSM of the implications of Cap and Trade passing the House.
