Capri pants are not a new invention. Pedal pushers, as they were once called, have been around since the ‘40s or ‘50s. What’s the problem?

They are not flattering to a women's figure.

High heels flatter a woman's figure because they give the illusion of longer legs. Capri pants do just the opposite, they give the illusion of short legs giving an overall squished visual.
