Unless the person who did it is caught, there's no real use in discussing whether it might have been someone on the right or someone on the left. If it was a lefty, obviously they did it for attention, and if it was somebody on the right, that one individual doesn't represent every conservative.

No matter who did it, it's serving its purpose: to distract from the real debate, and to substitute passion for reason. This is an issue for local law enforcement to deal with; giving it more of a profile than that is exactly what whoever put that there wants.
