I'm a little shy asking you rthis here but I am in need of prayers and I'm not sure who to contact here on FR.
A couple of weeks ago my mom went to have her annual mamogram and they were suspiciouse about something so she was sent for a boipsye and they found cancerouse tumors. later on thru an MRI they found it was in both breasts so mom had to undergo a double matsectomy. at first they thought they had gotten it all and it wouldn't be necessary for chemo or radiation treartments but further tests revealed they did not tget it all so now her doctors are trying to figure out how next to proceed. But mom is experiancing physi8cal discomfort but she is keeping up a good attitude during all this, even getting to go with a group from a local church on a 10 day tour of Isreal before her surgery.
I really would appreciate everyone's prayers. I love my mom, she has been a rock in our family.

I noticed, but was busy drafting the standard “break our friend’s heart and we’ll EAT yours [with fava beans]” letter, but I figured she can take care of herself.
After all, she hangs around with us.
Then I was going to congratulate in my wacky way, but figured I’d flub it totally.
So I’ll simply stick to “Congratulations, when is the big day?”

Congratulations! I knew all those words of encouragement were worth saying.Thanks! The typical reaction so far has been that it isn't initially noticed, and then a sudden shock occurs (and that includes reactions from family and friends). The other common response is, "It's about time."
