“We’ve heard this crap since Nixon, from both sides. Get a grip, people.”

We’ve never had a standing president, who has yet to show us his birth certificate, bow to a Saudi prince, had a politician swear in using the koran, bail out the banks, auto co’s (some which are run by labor unions), and not attend church.

This is just to site a few of the many differences between our former presidents and the one that’s currently in the White House.

Wake up.

We must work to win in a landslide in 2010, and then we can prevent this.

With a topic as serious as this one, one would think most of the discussion would stay on topic, rather than consist or personal evaluations. If someone shouts “You lie!” we don’t address the truth of the challenge, we attack the accuser. Let someone write a story of the government seeking greatly increased power and control, and characterizations of “tin foil hats” and “birther” abound.

We do not evaluate the story, but “we” demonize the one who reports.

The natural inclination of governments seeking increased power was believed to be so likely that a Bill of Rights was included in the Constitution.

We at FR agree in theory in the 2nd Amendment. However, let someone outline a scenario where the 2nd Amendment is needed, and we hear cries of “birther”. Are the actions of the current administration so benign as to declare any protests to be ridiculous?

Please do not agree in the principle of an idea, but not its execution. The fact that it may take us away from football isn’t sufficient.

And why hasn’t Major Ed led us to Osama? Couldn’t he just tune him in and give directions, like Map Quest? Or better, GPS coordinates?

Trust me, the boy marxist couldn’t impose martial law with any hope of success.

Yep.

“Oath Keepers”, etc.

The military wouldn’t support the s o b....at least for very long.

Just that we’re having this discussion shows things are getting serious.

I am an American and am expressing myself!

I remember when Clinton was president, some on the right were expecting him to find a way to stay in office past his term.<<<<<<<<<<<<

I can’t bear to say this, but Bubba is looking better all the time. I was watching some old news coverage of him tonight on the Military Channel, and I could stomach him more than Obama, for what it’s worth. The days of Whitewater and the Rose Law Firm seem mild in comparison to the cronies that Obama brought along with him. And Bill’s narcissism doesn’t seem as over the top as Obama’s.

With the exception of Hillarycare, I don’t remember a breakneck speed effort to change the fundamentals of our society, one thing after another. At some point, that administration got that we weren’t buying in on the healthcare. This one is determined to roll right over us.

“THAT is probably the ONLY thing slowing them down!”

Yes, that and some very stubborn Southerners and Westerners.

Do not look for an outside invasion of hostiles in TX. That has been tried before and did not work out that well.

May be an influx for protection.

...his most dire warning yet, saying that the Obama administration is preparing to stage terror attacks, declare martial law and cancel the 2012 elections, which is why...

I despise Obama, the person, just as I did Clinton and Co., not the presidency. Having said that, I can't accept that assessment as fact.

However, Obama has surrounded himself with so many ignorant and demagoguic anarchists and communists, that I do fear that anything is possible.

This type of hyperbole puts us dangerously close to their insane approach to governance, and almost creates a self-fulfilling prophecy.

Sometimes people say the most irresponsible things. Fortunately these people are usually not in a position to do much harm. Relax don’t worry. Everything is going to be just fine. Don’t get all wee weed up.
“We cannot continue to rely on our military in order to achieve the national security objectives we’ve set. We’ve got to have a civilian national security force that’s just as powerful, just as strong, just as well-funded.” Now,where did I put that koolaid?

Nicolae Ceauşescu and his monster of a wife were summarily tried and executed during the 1989 revolution. They were cruel beyound belief and the blood of thousands, if not hundreds of thousands were on their dirty communist hands. Without much ado, they underwent a short 'tril' after which and without ceremony, they were stood up against a wall and shot. Google 'em up.

My dear Ambassador Keyes, from whence hast thou fallen? Know ye not Jack? Verily, I have met Jack, and indeed ye know him not, for, had ye known Jack, ye would have also known that which he hath spoken. Yet ye know it not, and have heard it not, so ye betray that ye have neither known, nor seen Jack at any time.

Now, portend, for thus saith Jack: Inasmuch as that great, armed host, which hath gone throughout the world, even unto the uttermost ends of the earth, and unto this very hour yet worketh to defend this nation, is comprised of volunteers — citizens serving by their own consent, even so shall they not be turned against their fellow man, despite that he who is called Commander in Chief doth fancy himself a rock star.

On the day that The One wouldest deign to set the great host in battle array against the people, in that very hour the sword in which he trusts shall turn back upon him. For the host shall not set itself against its own Fathers, Mothers, Brothers, Sisters, and near kin, neither shall they take up arms one against another, nor one against his neighbor, nor against his elders, nor against his children.

Verily I say unto you, The Just One that sitteth in judgment over the nations doth look upon the rock star and hold all the wisdom of his councils in derision. Yeah, though in the fullness of time The One shall think himself mighty, yet in the day in which he places his trust in his strength, suddenly his star shall fall from the heavens, he shall be utterly cast down, and that without remedy. Surely he shall vanish from out of his lofty place, and it shall remember him not; as the field at harvest remembereth not the flowers of spring; as the tree in summer hath no memory of the wind of winter, even so shall the former place of the rock star bear no knowledge of him.

All these things hath Jack spoken that ye may know them beforehand, and be not overmuch disquieted at the present works of the rock star.

If your ambition is to be a dictator, then you’llk act like one. Obama clearly thinks he should be the dicator of this country.

"Change has come to America!
OUR TIME IS NOW!"

These words make my hair stand on end.
I think history will remember them, and the aftermath.

The change was never defined.
The lie of "transparency" has trigerred the fear and late realization that change can be truly bad, tyranical and deadly. Change, nevertheless.
