AMERICAN THOUGHTS

When in the Course of human events, it becomes necessary for one people to dissolve the political bands which have connected them with another, and to assume among the powers of the earth, the separate and equal station to which the Laws of Nature and of Nature's God entitle them, a decent respect to the opinions of mankind requires that the should declare the causes which impel them to the separation.

-We hold these truths to be self-evident that ALL men are created equal, that they are endowed by their CREATOR with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness--That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the CONSENT OF THE GOVERNED.--That whenever any Form of Government becomes DESTRUCTIVE of these ends, it is the RIGHT of the People to alter or to ABOLISH it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness.

Rush Limbaugh often comments that our 'point of history' does not begin unti we are born but I would disagree somewhat. Following, is only my thoughts of the America that I love and the America I will fight for until my last breath. I hope you enjoy the pictorial-be aware though, some of it is disturbing.

Fist though (and I despise this) I want to tell you about me. I do this because I find it fascinating to read about my fellow FReepers and their experiences in life; which, I'm afraid makes my story quite dull compared to most. Born in Missouri (Flyover country), I was blessed to move to 'the country' from St. Louis. At the time my dad and my uncle opened a machine shop dedicated to mostly defense work and there......my love of aircraft started. I've had the honor of working on many of our 'state of the art' fighters and bombers and nothing can compare to the pride I felt when touring assembly plants. Of course, pictures were not allowed but the truly most profound tour I took was when the B1B was in full swing. Unfortunately the day I was there, the Challenger exploded.......You could have hear a pin drop at the Rockwell facility in Palmdale when the news hit. Our guide was crying as Rockwell was one of the major contractors on the shuttle. May God rest their souls. Some of my favorites are pictured here with the F4 Phantom leading the pack. Yes, some one dated, it was a ferocious fighter able to accurately take out enemy targets and is still used today.
