Congress Moves To Seize Control Of All U.S. Waters
Right Side News ^ | 14 October 2009 | American Land Rights Association

From Bathtubs To Baptismal Fonts, Congress Moves To Give the Corps of Engineers and EPA Control Of All U.S. Waters

Issue: Having been slapped down by the U. S. Supreme Court's two recent decisions that the words "navigable waters" in the Clean Water Act limited federal agencies to regulation of navigable waters only. Democrats and liberal Republicans in Congress are striking back.

They are attempting to pass the Clean Water Restoration Act of 2009 (No House Number - S 787 In Senate) that would amend the 1972 Clean Water Act and replace the words "navigable waters" with "waters of the United States." Further, it defines "waters of the United States" with such breathtaking scope that federal agencies would be required to regulate use of every square inch of the U.S., both public and private.

Obviously, those behind this legislation have only contempt for the Constitution, limited government and private property rights. To understand what the framers of the Constitution intended, one need only look to their writings and the writings of those from whom they took wisdom and direction. A few of thousands of quotes follow:

Quote 1: "The moment the idea is admitted into society that property is not as sacred as the law of God, and that there is not a force of law and public justice to protect it, anarchy and tyranny commence. If 'Thou shalt not covet' and 'Thou shalt not steal' were not commandments from Heaven, they must be made inviolable precepts in every society before it can be civilized or made free." - John Adams, A Defence of the Constitution of the United States against the Attacks of M. Turgot, 1787.

Quote 2: "What a man has honestly acquired is absolutely his own, which he may freely give, but cannot be taken from him without his consent." - Samuel Adams, Massachusetts Circular Letter, 1768.

The unanswered question remains ... “Where in the Constitution is this authorized?”.

“Nowhere”, obviously.

Not that that matters anymore.

"federal agencies would be required to regulate use of every square inch of the U.S., both public and private."

"require"? Isn't that what they want???

"enable" is more like it, isn't it?

The Abuses of Power keep on coming from the democrats. I hope America learns a lesson never to give these people power again.

They'll never be able to control rain water. We can catch and use all the water we want, and they can't stop us. All we have to do is catch it before it hits U.S. soil.

Craved in stone above an entrance to the DOJ in DC:

“Where Justice Ends, Tyranny Begins”

And my favorite:

“Repression Breeds Violence”

Well folks, welcome to tyranny and repression.

Tax the air, regulate the water, outlaw fire, own the earth.

The Demopublicans are dark wizards who are trying to rule the entire planet, and they are telling us exactly what spells they intend to use to do it.

Got a stream running through your property? Or have a pond or lake? Abut a stream, river, lake or pond? How about a drainage ditch? Be prepared to loose 200’ of your land (400’ if you straddle a stream etc.) to a “buffer zone”.

In my area the govenrment has condemned many dams and will repair, replace or remove dams for control of the private and state owned bodies of water. I can not substantiate that remark, anectdotal evidence only, but this story brought these conversations to memory. I had dismissed these conversations as not important.

Well, they have effectively shut off the water to all of the west side of San Joaquin valley because they deem a 2 inch minnow is more important than people. They have created 40% unemployment and food lines, in parts of the valley. The people who pick that food must now accept carrots from China in those same food lines. 30% of the nations fruits and vegetables came from those now fallow areas. They already do control the water. Then they will control the land when the farmers default.
It is a disaster not in just this area... but soon coming to yours. They will dictate every square inch of your life if we don’t stop them.

This will support the EPA’s recent move to control the air within 200 miles of the US. Great lakes shipping may see 25 or 26 ore carriers parked because they can't run on distillate fuel.

When I did penalty assessment for the Coast Guard in the mid eighties, “navigable” meant that you could float a popsicle stick on it.

Outside of the Washington DC the feds were not to have any lands, yet, the federal government has taken, illegally, major portions of every state and now they want ALL the waters, too. Seems we need to get trid of the institution of the federal government completely and start over. This one has become uncontrollable.
