No, they were given permission by Nazi Pelosi to vote no.

There isn't any courage there...just the realization that a yes vote would guarantee their loss next year.

Rule of thumb for next year's election...if the candidate is a DemocRAT, vote for the other guy or gal!

The only way to get Nazi Pelosi out of that seat of power is to vote out all of the other RATS, 'cause the brain-dead, SF Voters (But, then I repeat myself!) will continue to vote that useless waste of oxygen in until she is dead and voting.

Thank you for casting an obvious vote upholding the Constitution. Now switch parties or go to Electoral Hades.

I share your opinion. Yes, they did the right thing this time but if they really cared about stopping this monstrosity, they would not be Dims in the firs place, adding to the RAT majority. Republicans need to be the majority party to stop this.

Couldn’t disagree with your post more. We have a very conservative core of Republicans in congress. We need to send more.

Baloney. Stop this junk. These people weren’t “heroes.” There were week-long negotiations to see which “blue dogs” would be RELEASED to vote for this to save their @sses. It is a joke that ANY “blue dog” is really “bucking” his party-—in the end, five of these people had to fall on their swords. Don’t kid yourself. There was never, ever a chance to stop this: the only issue was, which of the blue dogs would lose the next election.

Number of Democrats to vote for the GOP alternative ammendment 0.

Number of Democrats to vote for the last motion to recommit; this would have killed the bill temporarily; around 12.

39 - 12 = 27 fakes.

I would argue that the Constitution and freedom were NOT the reasons these Dems voted against the bill, job security and fear of voter backlash were. Yes, I'm being cynical but when it comes to politicians cynical is always a safe bet.
