She’s Carly Fiorina; “California’s Scozzafava”
Hogue News ^ | November 5, 2009 | Eric Hogue

I'd love to read your opinions of the Fiorina versus DeVore race. Here is an earlier piece I wrote; working on a follow-up for the Thanksgiving break:

The charge that State Assemblyman Churck DeVore is making; “don’t be fooled again”. California has its own Dede Scozzafava in the GOP’s newest candidate, Carly Fiorina.

On Thursday afternoon I spoke with Assemblyman Chuck DeVore, candidate for US Senate himself.

A day after Carly Fiorina’s launch into the primary race, DeVore reiterated his charge that she is a moderate, a centrist, and a pragmatic individual – who has waffled on major issues and decided that voting is something beneath her.

DeVore is ready to rumble; he made clear his charges that Carly Fiorina is a close proximity to New York’s establishment option named Dede Scozzafava.

Give me your thought, I'll try to work some ideas, commenst and opinions into my newest column; more at the link...

She’s not very good, but she’s better than Boxer.

Heck, almost anyone would be better than Boxer!

That sort of thinking got us Obama. All the fools that sat home and refused to vote for mcQueeg. Isn’t the definition of insanity repeatedly doing the same thing expecting different results?

Or course you are exactly right. But this Board is also a ship of fools. California cannot elect a true conservative statewide. It's impossible. I repeat, it's impossible. So a decent moderate would be better than Boxer. The other, more sane states must elect the true conservatives. Fiorina will not do the damage that Boxer has done and will do. She's much smarter than Boxer but again, that's not a big accomplishment.

But just wait, the crazies will be out slamming us. They are sicko in that they get some kind of pleasure in seeing Boxer elected so in they own minds they can say how conservatives would be better. It's madness I know but just read the comments and you will see they are crazy.

I thought it was conservatives or bust?

I think if we had President McCain, we’d be sitting in jacuzzi temp water, wondering how much warmer it was going to get. Obama threw us into boiling water right away, and we hopped right out. We are studying our Constitution and having tea parties.

I hope we can get a true conservative (I guess DeVore) as our nominee, and put him up against the very dumb and evil Boxer. I want liberty. The more elections where we do this, we will either get what we want or head into civil war to defend our nation as defined in the Constitution.

No not in five years and Never! Not in our lifetimes.

You must not live here or you just don't understand the state.

We are filled to the brim with 3rd World types and other assorted lunatics and idiots. Even when it is obvious we are on the wrong tract, we are too stupid to make course corrections. It's that bad. We are so dumb, that we cannot even correct our mistakes. It's a hopeless situation that cannot be corrected.

No I'm afraid we cannot elect a Sessions in California and we NEVER will. I wish I didn't have to say this, but it's true.

My antenna always go up when somebody "blasts" somebody else for his or her political bona fides. Especially when the one doing the blasting is a pollutician.

How do we know Chuck DeVore isn't Carly Fiorina with a dress on?

Wait a minute. Strike that. Reverse it.

We are in complete agreement. We must elect a moderate rather than lose with a conservative. If we could elect a conservative, I be willing to give up all my vices and join a monastery. We can rely on the other states for the sane conservatives in the Senate. We can supply some true conservatives in the House. That's the best we can do at present.

The moderate Repos have been in line against ObamaCare
Some of the Dems voting for it are there thanks to the sit
at home and third party voters.

“Fox and Friends” gave Carly Fiorina a platform yesterday morning to talk about being a woman in politics and how women like Sarah Palin are treated.

Our problem in opposing these candidates is the fact that there are media out there that conservatives watch acutally promoting RINO’s.

If you look at the charts, it seems that Firoina’s strategy paid off big time. HP is up 150%, from 5 years ago; while Dell is down 65%.

And ten moderate Repos helped Obama get his left-wing judicial nominee Hamilton through the Senate.

That sort of thinking got us Obama. All the fools that sat home and refused to vote for mcQueeg.

That may have contributed slightly. However, you can't discount the voter fraud committed by ACORN and SEIU. Too bad the GOP won't confront them on it. They seem afraid that if they do so, the DNC won't like them any more.

Isn’t the definition of insanity repeatedly doing the same thing expecting different results?

We've been saying that to the GOP for years. The poor stupid bastards aren't listening.

I guess we need to find a new party to represent us...

Moderate Republicans are the slow death of America and liberal Democrats are a faster death of America.

That being said I would support Rudy Giuliani in the US Senate but I hope Crist goes down, McCain goes down and many other business as usual Republicans go down in primaries next year.

And that includes Fiorina in California.

If ObamaCare passes, the
destruction of our health care system, economy, loss of more jobs and more will make the passing of the judicial nominee, a grain of sand on the beach.

I didn’t think I was making an argument, just presenting DeVore case and his opinions, which is worthy of an argument.

The moderate Republicans are united on this “health care” issue and want to draw us conservatives in with the emotions of the debate to believe they are changed people.

But I don’t believe them.

What I do believe is that they realize by playing up this issue they may be able to weather the conservative wrath in primaries next year.

And health care may end up being stopped because Joe Lieberman knows the survival of his buddy John McCain may depend on killing health care to give the McCain an emotional victory he can use to beat back a conservative primary challenge.
