When they have an eye opening experience (like a mugging or other violent crime) they often abandon the ideology and turn to the right.

That is not only hypocrisy but immaturity. It's all rosy to sing "why can't we all get along" until some bottom-feeding mouth-breathing A-hole offs one of your kids or your spouse...maturity is the ability to see that without having to experience it yourself.

The funny thing is that those who pull the "Let's Get Along - Kumbiyah Circle Jerk" rhetoric tend to be the first to shut down those who disagree with them.

No sane person can claim equivelency of hatred between the right and the left.

Look at the mouth breathing twits who demand a venue and dignified treatment for communist-racist hate-baiters. The moment a conservative (like Ann Coulter) steps up to speak, they throw things at her and try to shout her down. Is that tolerance?

Generally, conservatives react to the lefties with peaceful protests and publicise truths that the left do not want known.

The left cannot cope with someone disagreeing with them. One of they're heroes, Bill Ayers, voiced a desire to excute millions of us because we would never accept communist facism.
