"I WILL NOT"
Me

Posted on 03/24/2010 7:29:20 AM PDT by dps.inspect

...they are herding you to where you don't want to go. They plead with you that it is for your own good. You have this queasy feeling about the whole thing. There is this intuitive knowing deep inside telling you, "don't go there, it will deprive you of your unalienable rights to free expression and control over your own decisions... don't do it!" You begin to see zombie looks on people faces, murmuring the same inane monosyllabic words, "it is good for us, it will save us, we need it, we want it..." as they brush shoulders with you heading down a dark dank road... you see a faint erie glow off in the distance, a cold shiver runs up your spine.

You dare not turn back for that would draw attention, bring unwanted glares. A few in the crowd sense your unease, and look to you with a questing face, seeming to ask, "why... why are we doing this?... how is it that we are here?" You know the sensation, yet like a nightmare, your legs are lead moving you ever closer to the erie glow... you want to scream out but air will not escape from your lungs. You begin to struggle inside your mind and your body, writhing trying to escape a steel like cocoon. You tell yourself this must be a dream, I'm dreaming, I'll wake soon...

Then, out of nowhere, a God like spirit tells you, "...unalienable rights are your gift from the Father of Lights... you can neither give them away nor can they be taken away... but if they are not exercised, the father of darkness will shroud them and thereby they become ineffective... all need be done is to speak and not waver... stop where you are, stand and speak... I WILL NOT... and more will come..."

The left is always ready to resort to violence (see latest on what happened to Coulter).

I’m afraid we’re going to have to resort to their tactics.

And the sooner the better.

Interesting. I thought about this while awakening this morning. Most Americans no longer believe in God. God has been scrubbed from our society and those who reference their faith in God are ridiculed as unlearned back-water fools. Now that most reject God there can no longer be a spirit of indepenence and self reliance based upon the grace of the Almighty.

People need to rely on something bigger than themselves to help and support them navigate through life. It is no longer God, it is now the government. The government is now where people place their faith because they have rejected the Creator.

The Republicans will never win if they don’t start educating their ‘spokespeople’ on TV. The Democrats have talking points - most of them lies - the uneducated Republican just sits there. They should be able to strike back with the truth.

Example: the Democrats say ObamaCare strengthens Medicare. The truth is, this is a big LIE. The CBO says that would be double-counting:

“To describe the full amount of HI trust fund savings as both improving the government’s ability to pay future Medicare benefits and financing new spending outside of Medicare would essentially double-count a large share of those savings and thus overstate the improvement in the government’s fiscal position.”

page 2, last paragraph: http://cbo.gov/ftpdocs/108xx/doc10868/12-23-Trust_Fund_Accounting.pdf

Sorry, repeating this in the hope some GOP leader will see it!

People need to rely on something bigger than themselves

Great post! I would strengthen this statement by saying that people have an innate need to rely on something bigger than themselves.

Personally, I believe that churches (congregations) have a responsibility to spread the gospel. They are the ones that can let people know there is a God who is that "thing" they can rely on that is bigger than themselves.

I agree with you 100%. But remember the Republicans just sat there for years on end while Democrats kept repeating: "Bush only gave tax cuts to the rich."

That would have been an easy one to fight, but no, the Republicans just sat there until it became the "truth."

The first thing we must consider is ... do I believe God? His Word? am I willing like Peter to step out of the boat and walk on water? He did walk on water ... until he saw the waves ...

Matthew 14:22-33 (King James Version)

22.And straightway Jesus constrained his disciples to get into a ship, and to go before him unto the other side, while he sent the multitudes away.

23.And when he had sent the multitudes away, he went up into a mountain apart to pray: and when the evening was come, he was there alone.

24.But the ship was now in the midst of the sea, tossed with waves: for the wind was contrary.

25.And in the fourth watch of the night Jesus went unto them, walking on the sea.

26.And when the disciples saw him walking on the sea, they were troubled, saying, It is a spirit; and they cried out for fear.

27.But straightway Jesus spake unto them, saying, Be of good cheer; it is I; be not afraid.

28.And Peter answered him and said, Lord, if it be thou, bid me come unto thee on the water.

29.And he said, Come. And when Peter was come down out of the ship, he walked on the water, to go to Jesus.

30.But when he saw the wind boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink, he cried, saying, Lord, save me.

31.And immediately Jesus stretched forth his hand, and caught him, and said unto him, O thou of little faith, wherefore didst thou doubt?

32.And when they were come into the ship, the wind ceased.

33. Then when they that were in the ship came and “

“... O thou of little faith, wherefore didst thou doubt? “.

We must believe that he is and will hear us.

James 1:5-8
“James 1:5-8 (King James Version)

5.If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.

6.But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.

7.For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord.

8.A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.”

Faith. Keep the faith. God can do anything. He also lets us reap what we have sown.

Father God, help us in our day, in Jesus name, amen.

Exactly. And I forgot to mention that, but if we deny our Creator, there is no inalienable right endowed by our Creator, our rights are given to us by the government.
