Sara should have made a token appearance and then said “Adios, Juan”.

john mccain needs to be put out to pasture. the guy was burping mid sentence when he was talking the day Sarah stumped for him. Nothing wrong with a burp here and there publicly, but geez the guy is beyond ancient when it comes to attitude and archaic in progressive allegiance. He is the walking dead as far as I am concerned.

Sometimes I think she’s a conservative. Sometimes I think she’s not.

Sarah is a big girl and can make her own decisions! Only she has to live with the consequences.

Lets be at lease fair with our criticism of endorsements....

Tancredo endorsed Romney

DeMint endorsed Romney

Hunter endorsed Huckabee

Thompson endorsed McCain

She is making a perfunctory appearance or two, then he will be on his own. If JD wins, she will campaign for JD. And if Sarah runs in 2012,they both will campaign for her. And Mrs McCain is not without her influence.

I think Sarah owed McCain something in return for him picking her to run as VP.
She may be making points with mainstream Republicans here, while losing points with conservatives.

But I look at it this way. If not for McCain picking her as his running mate, she would still be sitting in Alaska, obscure and fighting state fights. And the tea parties and conservatives would have no galvanizing spoksperson who commands media attention with even the smallest tweet or facebook posting.

McCain is pretty much on his own and Palin won’t have much effect on his campaign. In effect, she has fulfilled her obligation to John. I can let that slide because there is a bigger prize by keeping her, then keeping John.
My opinion.

I completely agree with your post. I don't like McCain but I don't hold Palin’s support of him at this time, against her. She did the honorable and gracious thing. She has a lot to thank him for.

If McCain showed up as my XO I would have had him gone in about 30 days. He’s a big talker but a total pussy. I would never let him try to direct real warriors. Real warriors are already motivated, they don’t need some two bit cheese stick talking to them.

Facts about Sarah Palin (my title)
Via Email | Unknown | [Not unknown. Here it is.] Dewie Whetsell, Alaskan Fisherman

Posted on Sun 11 Oct 2009 01:18:45 AM MST by Neil E. Wright

"2 - Now with the CBC gone, there were fewer Alaskan politicians to protect the huge, giant oil companies here. So, she constructed and enacted a new system of splitting the oil profits called "ACES". Exxon (the biggest corporation in the world) protested and Sarah told them "don't let the door hit you in the stern on your way out." They stayed, and Alaska residents went from being merely wealthy to being filthy rich. Of course the other huge international oil companies meekly fell in line. Again, give me the name of any other governor in the country that has done anything similar."

TRANSCRIPT: Sarah Palin's RNC Speech
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/2074322/posts

This was the spirit that brought me to the governor’s office when I took on the old politics as usual in Juneau, when I stood up to the special interests, and the lobbyists, and the Big Oil companies, and the good-old boys...When oil and gas prices went up dramatically and filled up the state treasury, I sent a large share of that revenue back where it belonged: directly to the people of Alaska. And despite fierce opposition from oil company lobbyists, who kind of liked things the way that they were, we broke their monopoly on power and resources. As governor, I insisted on competition and basic fairness to end their control of our state and return it to the people.

She’s multi-tasking the kick off of the Tea Party tour. She threw in some digs against Reid, looked good in leather. Oh, McCain was there. No worries, mate.

Sarah Palin Is Pro Amnesty For Illegal Aliens - Univision Interview [Old news, 2008]
Diggers Realm ^ | October 24, 2008

Univision: Do you then favor an amnesty for the 12 or 13 million undocumented immigrants?
Sarah Palin: No, I do not. I do not. Not total amnesty. You know, people have got to follow the rules. They've got to follow the bar, and we have got to make sure that there is equal opportunity and those who are here legally should be first in line for services being provided and those opportunities that this great country provides.

Univision: To clarify, so you support a path to citizenship for undocumented immigrants?
Sarah Palin: I do because I understand why people would want to be in America. To seek the safety and prosperity, the opportunities, the health that is here. It is so important that yes, people follow the rules so that people can be treated equally and fairly in this country.

I believe Sarah was trying to lead John by example, but at this stage in his life, John is not about to break to follow anybody.

John is such a mixed bag, it is a wonder he ever comes up with a coherent message. He does have moments of lucidity, but not as a reliable thing.

Maybe J.D. Hayworth will win on his own merits. Sarah is really doing this more out of loyalty to Cindy than to John.

It’s sure not out of loyalty to the daughter. Now there is a piece of work, and interaction is not productive at all.
