A court ruled after the 2004 election that the owners of an ice cream shop in one of the northeastern states could fire their employee for voting for Pres. Bush. There is no law against discriminating against someone for their political beliefs. However, I’m sure BO will change that very soon.
"Fellow Business Executives:
As the CEO of a business that employees 140 people, I have resigned myself to the fact that Barack Obama is our next President, and that our taxes and government fees will increase in a BIG way.
To compensate for these increases, I figure that the Clients will have to see an increase in our fees to them of about 8% but since we cannot increase our fees right now due to the dismal state of our economy, we will have to lay off six of our employees instead. This has really been troubling to me, as we believe we are family here and I didnt know how to choose who will have to go first.
So, this is what I did. I strolled thru our parking lot and found 8 Obama bumper stickers on our employees cars and have decided these folks will be the first to be laid off. I cant think of a more fair way to approach this problem. These folks wanted change; I gave it to them."
It would be an excellent reason!!!
YES!
No, when I read the story it sounded like he had to fire an employee because of Obamacare, and since the employee had voted for Obama, the employer pointed out to the employee that he was losing the job because of the vote for Obama.
Meaning that if the country hadn’t voted for Obama, the employee would still have a job.
In a sense, yes, if he put Obama over the top.
Any chance we could lay-off Obama himself? Michelle too? Why wait until 2012. Let’s just give him a pink-slip for voting for himself.
Just asking.
Remember reading a letter here asking his employer when it comes time to lay off people because of the mess these idiots have gotten us into, that he would go through the parking lot of his business and first lay off all the employees with Obama stickers on thier cars since they voted for this hope and change
I certainly hope so, but I doubt it.
