“Nativism” means patriotic and anticommunist!

These people represent the past. They revel in the glory of the Civil Rights movement and use it to promote socialism. When they’re called on it, they play the race card.

No. The Tea Party movement is about people who work hard and play by the rules finally defending themselves against feckless liberal parasites in government.

"The tea party “is motivated by a nativism — an appeal to the good old days and people who are anxious about change and want to go back to the way they would like to think things were"

Interesting how folks like Andy Young always think this has anything to do with race. What the Tea Partiers want is our country to return to the era before liberals took over the media, teacher's unions, trade unions, and the education establishment.

Because of liberal influence, largely in the Courts, people of faith are ridiculed, kids are no longer expected to respect adults, criminals have more rights than their victims, and our brave men and women in uniform are considered killers, and not protectors of our country. THOSE are the things we in the Tea Party would like to see turned around. We've moved beyond race, as is exemplified by the fact that there are black people who support our efforts, who are always welcomed to the Tea Party gatherings. We don't look at skin color; we look at their support of the issues we hold dear.

It is liberals like Andy Young, and most other Democrats who can't seem to get beyond race.
