Palin has high favorables with the party?
Palin’s favorables with PPP and Econ/youguv have been consistently in the 70’s and she has constantly maintained a double-digit lead on her GOP competitors for months. Gallup about a week or so ago pegged them at 76/20.
The issue with Palin has never been her standing with Republicans or conservatives (also in the mid 70 range) but whether this could be translated into these folks voting for Palin in the GOP primaries (or now the polls). Until recently the gap was quite large but with recent polls there is reason to belief that gap is narrowing as she begins to LEGITIMIZE her presidential credentials and proves she is worthy and qualified.
Of course Palin’s GOP competitors (especially Romney) are none too happy with this recent development.
