I’ve heard all the psychobabble about how daycare kids are more rounded than stay at home kids. Each year when we put another kid in Kindergarten they offered programs to “catch my kids up”. And each year they were amazed how far ahead my kids were - able to read and write, draw and color within lines, kind and caring, toilet trained, happy, well adjusted.

Daycare superiority is a myth proposed by the industry and government. Nothing substitutes for a family, parents and siblings.

My next article will be about single child families. I’ll want to post that one in English and Chinese.

If your wife stayed home, why did you put the kids in kindergarten? Does hitting five years old magically make all the daycare negatives go away?

I was a volunteer leader with the jr high kids at my old church for many years. Had many kids who were homeschooled. I also heard all the same phsycobabble. I'd put my homeschooled kids up against public school kids anyday.

Why is it the "experts" always tout these so called "facts", and yet deny all the statistics and news headlines about daycare or schools?

Funny, the same group of experts will then be on tv, talking about the failings of the public system, and how they need more money.

If the public system is failing and needs more money, why would a parent put their child into a proven failing system????
