I have never seen the word “aglet” in print, except in the dictionary, of course. For those of us old enough to remember Bob Newhart’s receptionist, Carol Kester, she never did well in the dating department. One night she had a date with a guy who worked in a factory that made aglets. You can't get more pedestrian than that.
