This Week In California… Mysterious Non-Profit Funds Condom Dispensers for San Francisco Jail

In order to promote safe-sex, the University of California San Francisco and an unnamed Southern California non-profit have joined forces and funded grants for the installation of 16 condom dispenser for inmates in the San Bruno jail. While sex among inmates is illegal, the desire to promote a safe sex program (started in 1989) and “save lives” is more important to those involved, than the legality of the consummate issue at hand. “It may be controversial,” Sheriff Michael Hennessey told the The San Francisco Chronicle, “but I think the larger health education message is important.”
