Here's the facts of life in DC: any politician who actually, really threatens the power of the Permanent Establishment will have his or her life put under a microscope. Anything they did from birth to present will be put under a microscope. Everything anybody RELATED or ASSOCIATED with them ever did will be under a microscope, and any juicy details will be featured in every MSM outlet, Saturday Night Live, HBO and every late night comedy show.
