“Fiction often has a strange way of coming true.”

Sort of like “The Manchurian Candidate”????

I almost always agree with Glenn, but I think there were some important deficiencies in this specific program. Some of the "one day" steps described in his scenario (for example, the step in which all banks reorganize all debt) might actually require months or years.

The collapse is probably happening all around us right now.

One of the best ways to prepare is to focus on physical fitness. If you want some decent insurance against the worst case scenario I would recommend investing in heirloom seeds packaged for long-term (e.g. 20 year) storage.

Suburbanites are as bad off as urbanites. Developments are a joke. Google any major city or mid-size city and zoom in for a look at the huge suburban areas.

I think Glenn is about six months away from ready scary ghost stories on tv.

I have been putting together a new plan because I am very worried have always been one of those kind of people who hopes for the best but prepares for the worst. I now completely believe we will see the worst.

This is all going to be devastating for Seniors our pensions won’t go up and savings are paying next to nothing so even those of us who did things right paid off our houses, set up some type of pension plan and have savings and may have thought we could travel a little will have to rethink those plans and the savings will have to go to just survive.

Seniors with no savings or little savings (keep in mind many people lost lots of money they had set aside that was in bonds/pension plans, etc. due to the bad housing loans sold to investors by the banks)well Bernanke has sentenced them to go hungry and worse.

The younger people many of whom have had to take pay/hour cuts what about them? We are talking about people with degree’s who can no longer find decent paying jobs not all the people out of work are slouches. This is terrible for those at the lower economic end of the job market at least they work this imposes a huge hidden tax on them as well.

That’s going to take some time to read. The Parable of the Ten Virgins is very relevant to the 99ers. Thanks for compiling the info.

That’s fine if you also have a remote, secure location to grow your crops and enough armed people to guard it 24/7. In a worst-case scenario, maintaining agriculture will be difficult. It takes months to grow food, but only one night for 2-legged locusts to clean you out.

Oh, I didn't necessarily mean to actually plant the seed until the "locusts" have had their die-off. And of course one is going to have to be ready to defend one's assets (and a little luck wouldn't hurt, either).

Wow - great manual! Did you ever think about having it printed so we can buy a physical copy of this? You can easily create and sell printed books on lulu.com. Let me know if you ever do this because I’d buy a copy because when the SHTF we’ll need physical copies of this instead of a PDF.

Is it time to dust this scenario off in light of what has been happening the past few weeks?
