I never thought it could get this close but strange things happen.

As you say it isn’t over by a long shot. It appears that Miller has about a 25K lead over actual write-ins for Murkowski with some 29K write-ins left to count. Then there may be squabbles and the potential court cases over the other boxes that contain the questioned write-in name/spelling/etc.

Then we have the overseas Military/Civilian ballots which the cut off date for receiving is Nov. 17, I believe. AK had about 13K of these in 08 but I can’t find the 06 number which would be more similar as it was a mid-term election.

Anyway it isn’t over and may become one of those races with only a few hundred votes separating the two.

“It appears that Miller has about a 25K lead over actual write-ins for Murkowski with some 29K write-ins left to count.”

And murk is winning 90% uncontested - which would be 26,100 more votes out of the remaining 29K write-ins. That puts her up by 1,100 uncontested votes before the military votes and before the contested votes are challenged. Miller may well be up in votes to Sen. write-in, before any court challenges.

But yeah, he should just give up...;)
