He was also a tax cutter and a defense hawk. But there is no way he was conservative or that he “would be a Republican today” or any of that nonsense. He was a big Government liberal who would have had a huge bloated Federal Gubmint takeover had he lived. Anyone who thinks this isn’t so is nuts.
