And if the content of the blog along with a direct link to the video was on Free Republic, it would generate more discussion on Free Republic.

There is no problem with a link back to the blog for folks that want to find similar content. But to use Free Republic to drive traffic to the blog, while leaving the content off Free Republic, does not benefit Free Republic.

Thousands of FR posts drive traffic to other sites. Picking on the bloggers is being two faced. Get rid of the “link or excerpt only” links and your argument will not be total BS!
