THIS story isn’t about it happening to a FReeper, but read this thread:

But a few years ago wasn’t the government giving tax breaks to those who installed solar panels?
>>You know, Im as big a grammar policeman as anyone, but I hardly noticed any problem with her writing. I was riveted by the story and what it means about my country.
Bob Grant would call you a pusillanimous pipsquea<<
I disagree. We all make spelling errors. I’ve used “to” when I meant “too”, etc. I normally gloss over them. But I was trying to read this article out loud to my wife and it got so frustrating that we both just gave up.
I’m as annoyed by grammar police as the next guy, but this article crossed the line before I got 10% through it. Yes, everything in it may be true and generally scary. Heck, it probably is, but still...
Yeah, of course you do, because you've never been through it. You're probably not a self-employed, self-insured, homeschooling parent, so you don't set off any of the red flags.
Now, if you persist in your denial, and the very lightly veiled accusation of falsehood, I'll tell you what I think of people like you.
Oh, I missed your money-words: "every," and "sports injury."
I would find that difficult to believe, too. It's really a rather obvious point. Nothing in my post would suggest anything warranting your comment.
Now, are you really saying that you find it difficult to believe that "they go after" any parent for any reason?
I guess it never occurred to you that you were being played.
No, but I think my mother ship does.
Could this be connected to the class action suit against the banks? Now THAT makes sense.
When I worked for major government contractors I was involved in political strategy. I remember one of our top Washington guys talking about which Representatives and Senators our company “owned”. The company made sure that certain pols got campaign contributions, supportive press releases, etc. and the pols could be relied upon to push legislation that benefited the contractor.
No doubt, the big banks “own” plenty of politicians in both parties as well as decision makers at lower levels of government. A couple of phone calls could put CPS on a troublemaking blogger. There are plenty of bureaucrats who can be bribed as well.
I am not paranoid; I am experienced. I know where the bodies are buried.

She has a letter on her website (link below) that each person who has a MERS mortgage needs to mail to the servicer.

The servicer by law has to answer the questions on the letter and they cant foreclose on the mortgagee.
